Warning: Spoilers
Another decent episode, filled with laughs, characterisation and good action. This one is notable for featuring Russell Hunter in a virtual reprise of his role in CALLAN, although looking quite different; Michael Cole and Roy Kinnear are also along for the ride.

The life of a grass cannot be a happy one. Popeye is one of Regan's snouts and is abducted from a telephone box by a crew while he was giving some important information to Regan.

Regan has to find Popeye. The only lead he had is small time hood Frankie Little based on the information Popeye had earlier given.

Frankie has only recently come out of prison and elects to remain silent. Regan needs to use a bit of cunning to turn Little to find out just what the crew is up to and the big job they are planning. It all gets rather convoluted.

This was a nice character piece for small timers played by Roy Kinnear, Russel Hunter and Henry Woolf. People who are more losers than winners.

It all comes together for an action filled finale where on of the pursuing cop runs into a post, Regan beats up a villain who is supposed to be a champion boxer and Carter ends up punching a woman.
