A boy who can see the deaths of others through contact arrives in Smallville.
Jordan Cross is a boy who sees the mortal end of others when they physically make contact with them. However, when he touches Clark, all he can see is the eternities sprawled out in front of a billowing, red and yellow cape. Jordan realizes that Clark's life is never-ending, destined to save others. However, everybody else obviously dies in his visions, and this helps Clark stop this from happening. Clark questions if it is his right to cheat death for others, or if he shouldn't tamper with what is meant to happen.
This internal struggle that Clark deals with is very interesting, and the vision that Jordan has of Clark is riveting. One of the series' better episodes.
