Who needs an escort

"The Escorts" opens with Elroy Pitt (George Wiltshire, later seen in "The Director") asking Fred for a date for the following weekend. Unable to scrounge up anyone, Fred figures the two can make money as escorts at the Gramercy agency, where Mrs. Willis (Fritzi Burr, fifth of ten) turns them both down. She balks at the thought that Fred would be a doctor: "if you're a doctor then I'm an airline pilot" "I can believe that, by the excess baggage in your tail section!" In order to prove to his son that he's 'got what it takes to take what they got,' he decides to form his own escort service to get back at Gramercy. Their slogan: "we got escorts you can come take your pick, give 'em a chance and they'll flick your bic!" This was the last of five appearances by Arnold Johnson as Hutch, who knows his share of wealthy widows.
