Judith

I sensed the casting person was pretty pleased with themselves for this one.

To have bagged Julie Christie just before she hit superstardom and Oscar winning heights.

Christie plays Judith. The niece of ruthless business mogul Burt Northwade who plans to see an engine prototype developed by his brother.

Simon Templar decides to help out Judith as her father was railroaded into an onerous finance deal.

Templar needs to make sure that Sergeant Albert Soustelle of the Montreal police is off is tail.

Even Roger Moore realises Christie's star quality as they have good chemistry. There is humour with Sergeant Soustelle enjoying the Saint's generous hospitality.

The story was just a bit too silly and frivolous although there was a nice little twist. It is worth watching for Miss Christie.

Somewhat flaccid

Warning: Spoilers
JUDITH is a SAINT episode set in Montreal. Templar is approached by a typically pretty young girl who begs him to help her retrieve some vital plans that her ruthless uncle has stolen from her impoverished father. Templar agrees and commits a break-in, but there is more to the story than meets the eye. I found this something of a flaccid adventure, lacking the suspense and fisticuffs of the best of this series. It goes through the motions and is typical of its era, but hardly entertaining.
