David is sad that his parents are discussing sending him to a private school. While Anne is unsure, Jeffrey has arranged an interview for David's acceptance. Stanley is visited by a man named Bill (Squire Fridell) whose mother, Rosie, has died, but her diary insinuates Stanley may be his father. Stanley goes to a former friend, Ernest Grimes (Vernon Weddle) who was at the party where the supposed interaction occurred. Ernie said he and his girlfriend left after Stanley and Rosie went into the bedroom. Stanley and Helen begin welcoming Bill as their son and anxiously await to meet his family arriving soon. Meanwhile, the Brooke's entertain the snooty Mrs. Hollingsworth (Peggy Converse) from the private school. Revelations are made for each family.
