In this episode, Clate Dobie (Strother Martin) has an argument with his son-in-law. Moments later, a crash is heard in the kitchen and the party guests find Clate lying across his son-in-law's blood-soaked body. He tells everyone he tripped on the body and found him this way. His daughter, however, begins screaming like a banshee...and Clate literally runs for the hills.
Soon after this, three old western coots arrive at Petrocelli's office to hire him to represent Clate. It seems the son-in-law is dead and they need to find Clate. Once they do, it's up to Petrocelli to get him to give himself up and find out what really happened.
This is a decent enough episode, but I should point out that when the body was discovered I found myself laughing because the person playing the daughter so overacted. Regardless, the rest of the show is enjoyable and, as usual, Petrocelli comes up with an alternate hypothesis and presents it to the court about what REALLY occurred. Well worth seeing and kind of cute seeing these four grizzled old guys!
