A dark look into sensory deprivation.
Sleepin_Dragon9 September 2015
Drexill is using human guinea pigs for his experiments on sensory deprivation. Meanwhile, Anne travels to Paris to the Mayer Institute to take part in a study of sensory deprivation.

I've always thought there is something wonderfully nasty and dark about this episode, the way Drexill uses his powers on the male victim, regressing him, and then on Anne, very dark. The way they manipulate Anne's senses and awareness is also very nasty.

Looks like they invented wireless headphones much earlier then expected.

Cyril Luckham is seriously creepy as Drexill once again, and Bruce Boa is really good as Masson too.

More questions are asked, as Drexill explained that he had someone to answer to also.

This is an excellent episode, one of the best I think, definitely one of the most memorable, 8/10

Warning: Spoilers
Episode highlights the disjointed approach to this show.

Anne has been invited to Paris to an Institute that does advanced research into sensory deprivation.

Tom accompanies Anne to the train station. Then he gets an inkling that she is in danger.

Anne never arrived in Paris. However Anne thinks she does and is taking part in a dangerous experiment.

Episode 4 has the return of Drexil. He has been hired to conduct the research and he takes unethical short cuts.

It is left to Tom to search for Anne but Martindale also makes his own enquiries. He is at odds with Tom even though he should be more trusting of Tom's powers.

The surprise is that Drexil's stint as the big bad is short lived. In the race for parapsychological warfare. Even friendly countries pull dirty tricks against beach other.
