Cicely is in a funk. It is cold, snow like a blizzard, and dark. Everyone is kind of messed up because of it. Joel once again is unable to go to an event and so must again stay behind. He and Maggie end up in a shack at the airport. One thing leads to another and.....then Ed shows up and involves them in the evening, much to Joel's dismay. Back in town Ruth Anne is trying to learn Italian to no avail-but Shelly can speak it fluently, even though she picked it up from some people she knew in high school. Walt is using a visor to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder, but uses it too much and is like a guy on amphetamines . Also, the caribou have taken over the town. It's a story about human interaction.
