Ed's Kid
wes-connors1 May 2012
Watching a sentimental play on television brings out fatherly urges in "Ed" (voiced by Allan Lane), who insists he needs a boy horse or will suffer continued depression. Ed feels his biological clock ticking. "This morning I found a gray hair in my tail," he says. Wilbur (Alan Young) answers, "Hi ho Silver!" Calling himself a "confirmed bachelor," Ed tricks Wilbur into buying him a pony. The new addition to the barn is welcomed as a gift for Carol (Connie Hines), and Ed is happy with his adopted son. But the "little feller" has a yen for the prize apples Addison (Larry Keating) is growing for contest consideration, and has a disqualifying secret to reveal.
