Up until this point of binge-watching every Minder episode, I was sure I wouldn't see a worse episode than Dreamhouse (SE3, Ep5). That's where Terry is hired to house sit for some washed-up 60s singer. It's inert, unfunny, and lacking in drama. The only thing that kept me watching was trying to figure out whether they were using Keith Moon's old house.
Well, here we are in the home stretch of the Minder canon, just a few episodes short of the end of the series (and Gary Webster's tenure as Arthur's minder). And we get served an episode about depression/bi-polar disorder suffered by heretofore never-seen Uncle Brian.
This episode is so flat and dull it succeeded in depressing me.
Did the make this on a bet? To win favor with the NIH?
It should never have been aired. That's how terrible it is.
