Season 3 premiere is really good, but the second episode is where the show is turning into an intoxicating program. You can't stop watching all the while laughing and gasping, at all the outrageous storylines. Sidney got arrested, for Michael's attempted murder. Then is committed, after threatening her father in a fit of rage. Jane becomes more obnoxious, which is a turning point for both sisters run on the show. Kimberly covers her tracks devilishly well. Jake stumbles upon a femme fatale, who happens to be Amanda's dad private spy. And Billy starts his rocky career at D&D, after blaming Alison for not being ready to leave her traumatic past behind... Who does that? And last but not least, Alison finally confronts her father, in one of the most sickly and hysterical scene in the whole series. Who said soap opera's actors couldn't act? There's no way around it, season 3 is the best Melrose Place season, and a milestone reference to the genre in general.
