Introducing Jesse Colton
aramis-112-80488012 October 2022
Jack Dalton is on the quest for his long-lost mother, who is on the run from the law and a crooked businessman (long-time familiar face Ed Nelson). And MacGyver is roped in to help.

I don't care for touchy-feely stuff especially when I'm watching what's supposed to be an action/adventure show. At least they don't try slipping in environmentalist polemics. They should remember the words of Samuel Goldwyn: if you want to send a message, try Western Union. But I'm sure the writers don't know much about Hollywood history, which is why so many episodes are full of clichés. Like crooked businessmen. How about crooked environmentalists for a change?

The best thing about this episode is the introduction of Jesse Colton, who shows MacGyver how useful a firearm can be.

Colton is a bounty-hunter with a heart of gold and a head of pure bone, who has dreams of retiring to Hawaii (he even listens to Hawaiian music in his car).

I enjoy every episode featuring the Coltons. Jesse Colton is a break from the usual clichés. I'm glad they injected humor into the proceedings. The phone booth moment is classic MacGyver. Don't know what a phone booth is? It was what Superman used to use as a changing-room.

Dalton and is Ma

Warning: Spoilers
A simple recipe for an action episode, Dalton revealing is past as a foster child, and getting to know is mother and father, in very different ways. Luckily this episode is full of treats, it introduces a new fun character to the show, Jesse Colton, and gave me the opportunity to do a bit of detective work after watching it, because I wanted to know what was that amazing filming location inside a modernist building! This was really very interesting to me, as I found out that the huge and colorful building location is Schneider Electric 3700 Gilmore Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 4M1, Canada. I found it thanks to a Reddit post! :) I hope you enjoy this bit of information!

Pretty lame episode
prberg23 September 2020
I love the show, but this episode was pretty weak! So predictable and nothing smart about it. I kept thinking of some smart way they would get out of the jam.. and they came up with a really lame way. Writing was just lazy. Just wasn't fun, smart or particularly entertaining. Skip this episode.
