Storyline

Just when Mac's ready to cut Jack Dalton out of his life, he finds himself helping him. Jack's been getting a lot of things over the years which belong to his father who died when Jack was a baby from someone anonymous. And now he gets another. He suspects it's his mother whom he never met. With help from Pete, they find out that his mother is a fugitive. It seems like someone she worked for is into some shady stuff, and she got arrested when the Feds went after him. They go to the man who put up her bail when she was arrested. The man only cares about getting her so that he doesn't forfeit the bail. After Mac and Jack leave, the man sends his bounty hunter, Jesse Colton to get her. So he follows them. Eventually they find her. The man she worked for grabs Jack it seems she has evidence against him and Colton grabs her and Mac and takes them but she tells Mac they have to go back to stop her friend from turning the evidence over to the Feds, because when they get it, the man she ... Sparky impatiently says that he doesn't know how to spell Mr. Jastrow's last name, yet the agent's name and phone number are written on the letter that Francine left for Sparky, and the letter is right there on the counter in front of him; he could just look at it again to find the spelling. As vitally important as the phone call to the Justice Department was to Francine, Sparky would be unlikely to antagonize the authorities by being any more "difficult" toward them than he needed to be.
