Martha Raye was in Hellzapoppin, so I like her. She's pretending to be her sister in a reunion with Ray Bolger. Phyllis Davis was in Terminal Island, which I actually own on 4K. (I tell you, it's a weird world.) She's one like Jill St. John: middle-aged ladies holding on to their appeal. Peter Marshall has written a book on 'open marriage.' So hip, doc. Is he gonna swing for Davis? What will the doc's wife think? Tina Louise is Betty Bricker, one of Doc's ex-wives. Hubba hubba. I may never look at Mary Anne again. She's engaged to Lyle Waggonner. (He was also in Surf II. That's two episode in a row. Such a shame that Eddie Deezen was never on The Love Boat.) In fact, Tina has just hired an actor to play her fiance. He's going over budget in the production. It's French Night in the Coral Dining Room. This one is unusual because one of the endings is not what I would exactly call 'happy.' On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
