A Terminal Case of Nepotism
WalterKafka8 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
'Dr. Spock sure has a lot to answer for.' We start the episode with a life boat drill. That gives Alan Young a chance to meet his dream woman. Too bad she's also got Adam West on her. How does Mr. Ed compete with Batman? In a bid to impress her, he shows her the cargo hold, where they make a remarkable discovery. An older couple is being harassed by their respective kids. 'You two get to know each other.' Guess what happens next. Well, it was inevitable, and I'm surprised it took six seasons. Tori Spelling is pushed into the show. How did that happen? She's a little girl with a 'sick' doll. She might have a touch of the 'golliwobbles' Doc says. Tell her she's a silly child, Doc, with a terminal case of nepotism, and kick her out. Vicki has to do a report, so she's chosen Doc. Unfortunately, Doc is feeling insecure compared to his old school friend. He even has a fantasy sequence! Who does he think he is - Gopher? On Kafka's Love Boat Scale this episode gets 2 * out of a possible 4 *.
