James "Grizzly" Adams(Dan Haggerty) must help his young friend Robbie Cartman(John Bishop) after his pet dear named Ginger falls ill, and the only medicine is to be found in the woods, where he must prepare it. Adams gets the medicine, but an unfortunate accident results in a blow to the head that causes Adams to lose his memory, endangering not only Ginger, but everyone, as he doesn't recognize his bear Ben or friends Mad Jack(Denver Pyle) and Nakoma(Don Shanks) resulting in tense encounters, though his friends realize that something is obviously wrong, and vow to help him regain his memory... Though contrived, this is still a pleasant enough episode about friendship and maintaining faith in your friends.
