Storyline
Plot Summary |
Detectives Briscoe and Curtis investigate the murder of Matthew Sherman, shot to death in his car. He was found by his sister who had been waiting for him in a nearby coffee shop. The murder appears to be a mugging, and the main suspect is a young man who had also been in the coffee shop briefly. The detectives locate the man, Mike Bodack, at his wedding rehearsal dinner. He claims he had helped Sherman change a flat tire. When the detectives find a drop of the victim's blood on Bodack's jacket, they arrest him at his wedding. Bodack relates that near the scene of the crime he saw a man with a snake tattoo on the back of his hand. The investigation leads them to Ricky Garcia but, when most of the evidence against Garcia is ruled inadmissible, Garcia is freed. The only way the prosecutors will get a conviction will be having Bodack testify, but he proves to be a reluctant witness. Written by garykmcd |

Trivia | The episode title is a parody of the phrase used by supporters of General Dwight D. Eisenhower when he was running for President of the United States. Eisenhower's nickname was Ike, and fellow Army Generals and Republicans coined the phrase "I Like Ike," a phrase then used by Eisenhower's campaign manager when "Ike" was running for office. A number of posters were made with Eisenhower's picture and the phrase "I Like Ike" across the top. They are one of the most sought after items by collectors of political memorabilia. See more » |
Goofs | The pharmacist at the hospital pharmacy said that they didn't have an address on file for the suspect in question. However the suspect filled a prescription for Percodan, a schedule II controlled substance. Pharmacies are required to document the address of a patient's residence when filling a prescription for a controlled substance. See more » |

Quotes |
Ricky Garcia:
[Having just been instructed to write down his confession]
Can I say how I didn't mean to... do it? Detective Lennie Briscoe: You mean how you only shot him because he wouldn't give you his watch? Yeah, the DA will love that. See more » |
