THE SOAP OPERA HOMICIDE TRIANGLE
tcchelsey18 December 2023
Excellent story written by Philp Saltzman, who could really spin some yarns. This one has the touch of the psychological, mixed with some jealousy... ok lots of jealousy, the star attraction being young and handsome Chad Everett as Larry Brand. He seems to be the object of affection of both a younger and an older woman, all leading to murder --and then maybe his murder?

Everett is quite good here, though looking like a college kid, in a very early appearance. His first credited tv role was in an episode of SURFSIDE SIX, and Warner Brothers tv kept him on board. Versatile actress Peggy McCay, in a co-starring role, should have gotten an Emmy nod as she is terrific, especially in the final scene.

Look for former model Leslie Parrish as Kathy, quite popular on tv at the time, even gaining a cult following on BATMAN. She later served as associate producer of the classic film, JONATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL before becoming an environmentalist.

Director Charles Rondeau works well with the cast, who was also directing for 77 SUNSET STRIP. He later did episodes for MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, and surprisingly, quite successful with sitcoms, such as LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE.

For fans of Chad Everett, who will not be disappointed. SEASON 3 EPISODE 21 remastered dvd box set.
