Danny Williams : [Trying to figure out who Mr. Winkler is] He must be using an alias... What about fingerprints?

Duke : No prints on file... Not here, not in Washington.
Danny Williams : [Discussing the mysterious Mr. Winkler] A man can use any name he wants, as long as it's not for illegal purposes.

Duke : How do me know it's not?

Danny Williams : By checking deeper into Mr. Winkler.
Ben : [Pulling out his ID] Mr. Winkler, Hawaii Five-0... We'd like to talk to you.

Winkler : What for?

Danny Williams : We'd like to know where you're from, Mr. Winkler.

Winkler : From?

Danny Williams : L. A. ?, Chicago?, Romania?... A place.

Winkler : I'm from New York, brought up in Europe.

Danny Williams : No birth certificate in New York... Or anywhere else for that matter.

Winkler : Well, I was born in a house, not a hospital... My parents are from the old country, they couldn't keep good records.

Danny Williams : That's putting it mildly... Your life seems to be one of the world's best kept secrets.
Danny Williams : What's your real name, Mr. Winkler?

Winkler : What makes you think Winkler is not my real name?... I mean why is the government suddenly interested in my name?

Danny Williams : They're not... Their only concern is income tax, and immigration status for all those unrecorded years.
Danny Williams : [after seeing Mr. Winkler's amazing feat of memory] OK, so you're a trained spy... And a good one.
