Dorothy is living in her nerves and turned to cigarettes for comfort. Sophia and Max return from their honeymoon, and with nowhere to stay they turn to Blanche for help.
A good episode, perhaps not as sharp as the first half, but it still has several fine moments.
The fact that the show is called The Golden Girls, made it a little obvious that there wasn't much of a future for Max.
I loved the idea of Sophia and Max opening up a pizza stand on the front, who wouldn't want to spend some time there. It was obvious that the girls would end up there at some point.
There are some wonderful scenes here, that shower scene is hilarious, especially that moment where Max gets his glasses. Rose rattling on about the joys of smoking to Dorothy was just a joy fest.
7/10.
