Mrs. Muir (Hope Lange) takes Jonathan (Harlen Carraher) and Candace (Kellie Flanagan) to Schooner Bay's closed museum. She tells them that it and the town will be restored soon to its former beauty. Claymore (Charles Nelson Reilly) introduces her to the man who will make it possible- Joshua T. Albertson (Kenneth Mars, "Young Frankenstein") who wants her to be his director of publicity. Captain Gregg (Edward Mulhare) isn't pleased with the idea of tourists being enticed to Schooner Bay. Mrs. Muir decides to join the project after learning how it can help the town. The Captain is sure the older citizens will not stand to see the place overrun with tourists. However, Claymore works to buy out the older local merchants. The Captain inflicts some slapstick comedy to slow the progress. However, when he hears of plans to honor his memory things could change, but the result may not be the desired one. The plot isn't the strongest, but there are some laughs here.
