- This episode is known for its gut-wrenching first scene where Max is obviously heartbroken as 99 reveals her plans to leave him,who she believes has no real feelings for her,and marry casino boss Victor Royale.

- Max is shot.He deflects the first bullet but is hit (but mostly unharmed ) by the second one
- Max kills a bad guy who has shot him. As Royale escapes Max shoots him through the door.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- This episode is more dramatic in its theme than some of the more lighthearted episodes. Max loses the girl he loves to another man,finally realizes his love for her,discovers that her suitor is an enemy agent ,confronts him,is shot and wounded, and kills the evil suitor. (Although he still doesn't openly profess his love at the end.)
- After max wins a card game with royal royal shoots max under the table and apparently kills him.99 cries over his body until royal yanks her away and has his accomplice set it up like a suicide.
