The finer things in life are never free.

George looks to upgrade the car, but is super into buying a caravan, much to the frustration of Mildred and the neighborhood. Mildred's sister and brother in law arrive for a visit.

For me, this was very funny, it had me laughing from start to finish. There are some great one liners and cutting remarks throughout. We see a very strange form of sisterly love, the pair are hardly in tune with one another, and the one-upsmanship is very funny.

Poor Mildred tries to compete, but her lava lamp is no match for her sister's wealth, fur coats and golden jewelry galore. The way in which George takes a few swipes at Ethel, very funny, and seeing him wandering the scrap yard in his jim jams, so funny.

Avril Elgar and Reginald Marsh are both great in their roles, the duo are so funny, viewers would get to see a lot more of them in future.

8/10.

George trades in his clapped out banger for a caravan. Only that now he has no car to tow it anywhere.

If Jeffrey Fourmile was irritated by the heap of wreck on the drive. He is livid with the caravan.

He gets some residents together to buy the caravan off George leaving him with a small profit.

When Mildred's snooty sister and her wealthy husband come round to stay. Mildred gives them the main bedroom.

George ends up sleeping in the caravan. There is just the small matter of a trip to the breakers yard.

Mildly amusing although it is a stretch to think that even George would trade in a car for a caravan.

It was good to see the rivalry between Mildred and her sister. It is amusing that Mildred thought a lava lamp would be the height of 1970s sophistication.
