Family problems.

Ethel visits Mildred to explain that their mother isn't in the best of health, at the point where a care home may be the only option, Mildred has over for a week. Tristan has a black eye, Geoffrey takes action, and gives his young son some boxing lessons.

I really enjoyed this one, it's a funny end to the first series, lots of smart one liners, and a little bit of heart. It's always good to see the sisters sniping at one another.

Favourite scene had to be George and his mother in law in the pub, that was funny, and a little sad.

George was always going to have problems with Mildred's mother, and she really is an old boot. Gretchen Franklin does a fine job, best known of course as Ethel in EastEnders. The poor old dear seems to have a touch of dementia.

We learn a little more about Mildred's family, I'd forgotten she had siblings other than Ethel, we hear about Arthur, and get to meet Hilda, who's very meek and mild.

8/10.

You have to wonder how much does George knows about Mildred's family.

Gretchen Franklin plays Mildred's mother. Her three daughters have to decide who should look after her or whether she should go in a home.

One of Mildred's sister is pregnant again. The posh one is certainly not going to take her in.

Maybe George might be able to show his softer side.

There is a brother in New Zealand that George seems to know little about.

It is good to see Mildred's family. I chuckled to find out that one of the sister's is called Ethel. Given Gretchen Franklin is famous for playing Ethel in Eastenders.
