When I was 16 years of age I was being harassed by a student with an unsavory past. His name was Guy. He would threaten kids for lunch money or use brute force to collect. Push kids down the stairs or knock books out of their hands. He would break into lockers and one day during dress rehearsals the drama club had to evacuate the theater because when the hot lights took hold the vile smell of urine filled the auditorium provided by Guy. My personal encounter went as follows... I was changing into my street close when Guy came over towards my locker and took my wallet. I grabbed it back and then fights went flying. I fought a hard fight. I actually connected by socking him on the side of the face having him fall back against the lockers. The gym teacher just happens to show up and Guy looked at me and said Quite simply "You're Dead!" Three days past and then I was tripped leaving the lunchroom. The Next thing I saw was a boot heading to my mouth. Wham! Then came the blood shooting from my nose. Guy laughed and then took off. Family Affair the television show always had an appeal to me. It wasn't the typical family. It was what I would call a Step-Family. New York-based engineer Batchelor Bill Davis with the aid of his Gentlemen's servant Mr. French (Sebastian Cabot) lived the privileged lifestyle until his Brother and Wife were killed in a traffic accident in Indiana. Thus Bill Davis was next in line to be the next caregiver of three children. Cissy (Kathy Garver) the oldest in high school. Followed by the twins who are in grammar school Jodi (Johnny Whitaker) and Buffy (Anissa Jones). They all live in a spacious Manhattan apartment, Doorknobs in the middle. In this episode, Jody is being intimidated by a student. He was bullied into giving up his lunch to this person and other demands. The problem is that it's a girl named Jeannie played by Claire Wilcox. Cissy the older sister takes matters into her own hands by talking to Jeannie's Mom but she is oblivious and doesn't have a clue what the problem is. Jeannie persists as Jody comes home with a black eye. This causes Uncle Bill to steps into action. The magic of a half-hour show makes everything all the better and for that, I'll take it on face value. In the real world, problems persist and are not solved in 30 minutes. As for the content of the show on its own merits, the chemistry between the seasoned actor Brian Keith and the kids is so natural. In addition, the warmth of the stout but lovable Mr. French makes this family affair a priceless gem of a TV series for that period of the late 1960s. Claire Wilcox was one of my favorite child actors. Played Ernie's girlfriend in My Three Sons. I was shocked as the writers used violence to solve the episode but that's as much as I can tell you. As for Guy and being assaulted, My Father made me go down to the police station and press charges against him. We learned that he was arrested twice before. They had a dossier filled with personal infractions, including being involved with a stolen car and drug dealing. He was suspended from school for a week. The next year he died in a house fire.
