This episode is about a Soviet general who is planning on defecting. Apparently, those around him must have suspected something, as agents have sprung into action--preparing the way to kidnap the general's wife in the United States in order to get him to think twice about defecting. So, it's up to Erskine and the rest to find the woman before the general's handlers get him back to the USSR.
As I have noted before, the spy episodes of "The F.B.I." tend to be among the best. They tend to be a bit more violent and have a few neat twists....and "A Sleeper Wakes" is no exception. Entertaining and fun.
