Eleanor Parker was nominated for an Emmy for her guest starring role in this episode of The Eleventh Hour. Parker plays an alcoholic with an unexplained fear of men. She is being treated by a hack psychiatrist, Dan Duryea. The regulars on the show attempt to get to the root of her problem and through out the episode, the viewer is given hints as to exactly why she's "grown so cold." The best scene has Parker running down the street and hurling herself through the front window of a liquor store.
This episode is a rare treat for Parker fans. The way in which she recites a poem she's been trying to remember at the end of the episode shows just what a great actress she is. The short poem conveys nearly every emotion. Not many actresses could've pulled this one off. Seek this out if you can!
