Hard hitting, no easy answers and quite prescient

Kathleen Quinlan, who shot to fame big time with her appearance in Apollo 13 and before that The Doors, guest stars as Dr. Kate Delieb in Today Is the Last Day of the Rest of My Life, the season six finale. Today Is the Last Day of the Rest of My Life is quite an unorthodox episode because it deals with the taboo topic of life ending prematurely in accordance with the patient's wishes. Anyway, Today Is the Last Day of the Rest of My Life is quite prescient and foreshadowed what was to come and it raises uncomfortable topics amongst such patients and their families. We get more of a backstory of Mark's wife.
