Undercover at a rodeo
bkoganbing12 February 2016
Doug McClure whose career credits include a rodeo or two goes undercover at a rodeo to prevent a possible homicide. Susanne Lloyd has eschewed fame and position for the man she loves, rodeo bronc buster David Janssen whose surly attitude might discourage some women, but Lloyd finds sexy.

Anyway someone wants to kill him and the Checkmate agency is there to stop it. But it's Lloyd's brother Robert Colbert who gets locked in a stall with a wild stallion with the inevitable happening. As he didn't like Lloyd giving up her station as it interfered with plans of his own, Colbert was who the agency targeted. Now they have to develop a whole new theory.

There's a really nice scene with novice Doug McClure getting on a bucking bronco for the very first time. He had to keep his cover and it did work. McClure's none the worst for wear and no doubt got taught enough to know the rudiments of the sport.

Checkmate was a good show with the three regular, McClure, Anthony George, and Sebastian Cabot appealing to three generations of fans. This was a typical episode.
