If you are a fan of this show, you know how goofy the stories get can and that translates into laughs. The absurd is normal here on this show, and a good example of it was this episode.
Much of it is a flashback to when "Leo Schnauser" (Al Lewis) was taken off the mounted police patrol and tried to adjust to a new life in the precinct - traveling in car like everyone else.
The humor is Schnauser unable to adjust and the best parts are when he turns "Toody" (Joe E. Ross) into a horse! It's so ridiculous, it's hilarious.
Lewis co-stars with "Sally," the horse. It's a funny episode.
