I really love this episode because of what it does for Shawn's character. It is one of the few episodes with extended scenes in Shawn's trailer between him and his parents and we get to see how emotionally vulnerable he really is. But my favorite part by far is the moment where in front of everyone he takes the mop from his father and cleans up the mess in the hall. I love this because of the moment between Shawn and his dad,and this quote shows how much Shawn cares about his dad and shows he has grown as a person. Chet: "You don't have to do that Shawn." Shawn: "I know I don't and I know you don't have to either." This is great especially if you look at it in context with the rest of the series it is to me almost as powerful and honest as Shawn and Chet's all out emotional scene in "And We'll Have a Good Time Than." Because both scenes show how much Shawn actually loves his dad.

Well I have to say that episode was way more than excellent, Shawn's parents are pretty well casted (I'm kind of regretting my old thoughts on Chet to be honest), the way they were arguing for the bills with a poor Cory who were neither able to bear that nor the neighbors arguing, god that was just hilarious. Now let's say that Shawn did it again : he touched me deeply and so to Chet which about him is a miracle knowing all the despise I used to felt for him. He tried really hard to make real changes on their lives and for the first time on his life getting a real job and taking care of his responsibilities. He positively surprised me to be honest, I wouldn't have bet a nail on him and still here he is trying to be a better husband and father which we have to admit is not that easy, even less both of the same time. So he find a job as a janitor... in Shawn's school. We can easily see how he would fell about it at first, people can be so stupid as the dummy guy with the porcupine grassy hair cut, my hand was shaking so hard of the urge of making jump all his teeth out of his dirty mouth. Seriously, what a self-control Shawn got until he reach a no return point and jump on his throat. I would not been able to wait that long personally. What an amazing episode, as always each time Shawn is in the center it turned to be excellent. All his scenes was outstanding by their justest no matter with who he was sharing them beginning with Feeny, following by his mother (who's by the way a courageous and strength woman, she's something) and finishing by his dad. I might kind of been able to feel some affection towards Chet after all. And the last scene with Shawn moping the floor instead of Chet reminding him he's doesn't have to and neither does he but still he chose to do it for his family, was it some melting and powerful scene or what ?!! Taking that job mostly to be the nearer possible of his son and trying to make up how much he can all the last year lost time, again me beginning to considering Chet as a nice father what a shock !
