Sir Lancelot travels to The Kingdom of King Rolf, to learn why a man of Peace has suddenly turned his people into an army, and imprisoned his son, with plans to have him executed.
A quality episode, I feel as though the show is getting stronger as it progresses, this is worlds apart from the earliest episodes, it's tighter, sharper, the storyline is altogether a little more adult, it's almost as if they decided to change the age group of their target audience.
Leonard Sachs is excellent as the wearisome King Rolf, but this episode is stolen by a Great performance from Maxine Audley. Eunice is quite a dazzling figure, very beautiful, but with a very sinister side to her character.
A good storyline, but there are some nice touches of humour, the scene where Merlin shows Eunice his laboratory, that'll make you chuckle.
Hard to fault, 8/10.
