Our story begins with Dave and Wally out at the golf course wrapping up a game of golf. Dave is having a bad game and Wally isn't doing better. When they tee up for this next hole, Wally goes first.
When it comes to Dave, he hits the ball and it goes off and loses it. Wally tells him to play another ball but Dave tells him he doesn't have another ball. Wally gives Dave one of his and Dave tees up again. This time when Dave hits the ball he gets a hole in one!
The boys are ecstatic and when they return home, they tell Ozzie, Harriet, and Ricky. Ricky tells Dave he should publish that story in the school newspaper.
At the malt shop, they meet Susan, who is the editor for the school newspaper and she is a very beautiful girl. Dave decides he will write a story.
