It is a pity the Selig photographs are so dim
deickemeyer5 September 2016
It has been remarked in our hearing that it is a pity the Selig photographs are so dim, since their settings and backgrounds are so excellent. In some of the scenes in this picture poor photography even lets in some confusion. The story of the stowaway and how she came to be dressed as a boy and on the ship on which the parents of the little boy who was stolen were voyaging, and also how she was able to do the mother of her little friend, the stolen boy, a double service, and which ends in a happy family reunion, including herself as an adopted daughter, is very interesting. It has the atmosphere of real life. It is full length and a good filler. - The Moving Picture World, February 17, 1912
