This short movie made by American Mutoscope & Biograph to show the workings of the United States Postal Service in 1903 has slightly more charm than many of the other films in the series (which isn't exactly a stretch). In fact it resembles a scene from some Mark Twain novel - Tom Sawyer, perhaps - with its supporting cast of young girl and boy (in a broad-rimmed hat) strolling in front of a rural post box immediately before a mail wagon passes by. The wagon drops of a parcel of mail in the post box which is immediately collected by a gentleman who was clearly waiting stage left for his cue. It's not great as far as films go - even by the standards of 1903 - but it's not the worst I've seen.
