Clearly people were easily entertained back in 1903 judging by the contents of this short film from 1903. Gus Keller's act is the kind that would have Simon Cowell reaching for his buzzer within five seconds. It comprises entirely of him hitting a punch bag. First he punches a head-height punch bag with his fists, then he punches a punch bag at knee level with, well, with his knees. He then bends over and punches the bag from between his legs. You'd think that would be enough excitement for one show but, oh no, the nattily dressed Gus then mounts two punch bags at head height and punches them with his elbow. Strange how Gus's name has been largely forgotten over the years...
