This is an interesting little short that was just posted this weekend on IMDb as part of a beta program showing shorts as well as movies and TV shows online. I hope it works out well, as so far I have seen quite a few excellent shorts this way.
THE BAKERY starts with an Asian-looking lady walking to a local bakery. She seems ill at ease with the non-Asians on her way inside. However, the Chinese men in the bakery turn out to be real jerks--pretending not to understand her as she placed an order. Despite this and a lot of VERY hostile customers, assistance comes from a very unexpected direction--too bad the summary on IMDb reveals this.
Overall, this is a very good short film and it has some interesting things to say about preconceptions and racism.
