Carlos has kind of changed since this special now with his comedy show that replaced Chappelle's Show. He was funnier in this half hour special. I have noticed he has retold some jokes from Comedy Central Presents and with the words he chose and the tone he used, the jokes were funnier in the special. His show doesn't quite stand up to what Chappelle's Show was which was laugh out loud until the neighbors complain about the noise funny. What I really like about Comedy Central Presents: Carlos Mencia is the way he closed the show on a serious note which was very unique. I never saw anything like that in a comedy show before where sometimes the show ends with a joke, but sometimes maybe, just maybe.....

I loved this CCP with Carlos Mencia. He's growing on me. I too loved how he ended his bit on a serious note. You can tell how passionate he is about life and what he does, as well as how annoyed he is with our society and how stupid we all are. It's fun to laugh at step out of our daily grind for a bit, to take a look at ourselves and the world around us. I particularly enjoy those comedians who can face issues on stage that we are too scared to face on a daily basis. Those tend to be my favorite performances - and when you can see the comedians passion for his or her message coming through then you tend to pay more attention and relate to it a bit more.
