FLUSH AFTER VIEWING
nogodnomasters14 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie boasts a drinking game that goes with it. It requires the players to take a shot when certain things are said or happen. It is rather a lame game done in hindsight. The movie has a great idea that was done rather poorly. Two former high school nerds, after a 12-pack decide to get even with everyone who picked on them in school. It starts out as a gag, but when they accidentally kill the first victim....

The movie has some Iternet porno clips as well as a masturbation scene. For some reason they felt they had to show you the contents of the commode, another scene that may of made a young John Waters proud, but at my age, it is a waste.

The movie is short (77 minutes) and the drinking game wasn't worth it. The acting was bad, perhaps by design. The campy nature of the movie didn't go far enough to make it a cult classic. Not worth the view unless you really are desperate for an excuse to drink.

Crude, but effective

Warning: Spoilers
Former high school nerds Jeffrey Mordrid (writer/director Eric Spudic) and Cory Buckner (solid Jason Contini) decide to pull a prank on the bullies who picked on them in high school by pretending to be psycho killers. After they accidentally kill one of their old classmates, the geeks discover that they have a taste for murder and embark on bloodthirsty spree. Writer/director Spudic grounds the twisted premise in a credibly drab and sordid working class reality, astutely nails the lingering feelings of anger and resentment that those who were persecuted in high school continue to feel after school is over, generates a good deal of rattling raw tension, and further spruces things up with wicked funny touches of sick black humor. Moreover, the murders are quite brutal and chilling, the tone unflinchingly mean-spirited, and the uncompromisingly nihilistic conclusion packs a savage punch. Spudic and Contini display an engaging natural rapport as our two bitter and maladjusted protagonists. The bullies are a suitably hateful bunch: Nicholas J. Hearne as fat pothead loser Nick Baxley, Rory Stumpf as egg-tossing toolbag Bernicio Campbell, and Linda Webb as bitchy drug dealer Linda. The use of a restless hand-held camera provides a crackling kinetic buzz. Both the pulsating score and the roaring rock soundtrack hit the stirring spot. A sadistic treat.
