Being very lucky in tracking down Spring Parade just before my dads birthday,I was surprised to discover that the DVD seller had included a bonus, rarely seen Deanna Durbin short!,which led to me taking a look at the gems.
The plot:
Durbin sings some songs from It's a Date.
View on the film:
Opening with some classy credits, the film appears to be some sort of early music video jukebox.Featuring a handful of songs from It's A Date, the editor leaves things rather untidy by not featuring and scenes to give even the slightest context as to why people in the audience (who play a big part in It's A Date-a movie that would have then been last seen 9 years ago!) are being singled out, which leads to these gems not shining as brightly as they could.
