The Fallen Leaves is an excellent film which starts off with a bang, and then successfully unravels the story of Andre. The shots of Brooklyn are very picturesque. The music sequences depict the protagonist's inner conflict while respecting the audience enough not to manipulate them into how to feel. The cinematography is beautiful along with the poems that go along with the opening and closing scenes. The basketball scenes are unique in the sense that some of them capture the gracefulness of the player, when the little boy is playing and the poems are on the screen, while the other scenes are more rough and energetic when Andre plays. Overall The Fallen Leaves is a brilliant film that leaves you wanting more.
