The Dodo is Dead
StalkingMoon5 January 2007
Is He the Michael Palin of Dutch Television or maybe even more? I think He was much more. He put his travel shows on a higher and personal level. Is it a program about Islands or the Dodo or was it about Boudewijn Büch Himself. He found a unique combination to put his almost childish obsessions next to sometimes bleak information. He made the most absurd item so entertaining that You just cannot stop watching. He was one of a kind in Holland and i Miss his programs, i now have these chopped up DVD's...they edited the show into bits and peaces, but anyhow, there are 3 boxes with 3 DVD 's each and enough to travel with Boudewijn for a long time....

Missing his great stories
cb24-121 October 2007
When he passed away in 2002, I really miss his great TV programs, there is nothing that even comes close on Dutch television.

I always was taken on a ride when he was traveling around the world, making for instance beautiful island-trips or visits to mu-sea.

His driven passion, humor and charm made his presentations so very special.

When I started watching his TV-shows, there was no way of stopping, I was hooked.

I agree with logan5 who wrote above me about him, specially the DVD boxed sets who are out in the Netherlands, because they are far from complete.

I wish they would broadcast the total series again, I know that my DVD recorder will be running over hours.
