Annoying and Tedious Crap
claudio_carvalho12 January 2009
While driving through the Arizona Sonoran Desert, Ryan (Jose Rosete) runs out of fuel and he is forced to stop his car. The sadistic mechanic and collector of serial killer weapons Motorman Dan (David C. Hayes) runs over Ryan and brings him to his workshop, transforming him in a killer wearing a strange outfit. Ryan kills clients of the mechanic workshop for the pride and joy of Motorman Dan, becoming a serial-killer. Meanwhile his sister Angela (Patti Tindall) seeks out Ryan in the desert and meets Motorman Dan, who abducts her for Ryan, while her husband Clay (Mark Ray) chases Angela.

The sadistic low-budget "Machined" is an annoying and tedious crap. The ridiculous plot is stupid, and the soundtrack causes irritation to the viewer. The unknown Patti Tindall has a good performance but is unable to save this fiasco. The fake reviews promoting this flick misguided my choice and I saw this garbage expecting to see a reasonable horror movie. My vote is two.

What a load of junk
mrush17 January 2009
Renting movies is sort of like fishing ,you throw out a line and see what you get.I had never heard of this movie so I thought I'd give it a shot a see what I got.Not much ,it turns out.

This big fat weirdo of a mechanic who lives out in the desert runs runs over a guy walking along side the road.So instead of calling an ambulance our big fat bald weirdo takes the wounded guy back to his garage and puts him back together with mechanical parts. So then the big fat bald mechanic teaches Machine Man to kill people while baldy sits in another room and whacks off while watching it all on a monitor.I swear thats the movie.Really.

But don't let my dazzling synopsis fool you.It was a terrible movie.Badly lit, badly acted.I mean badly, badly acted. No special effects to speak of except people being stabbed and then getting back up and getting back in the action as if being stabbed through the liver can be cured by holding your side.

The movie also had all these annoying little atmosphere effects...like the light bulbs kept flickering and the monitor screens kept blinking off and on and these things happened over and over to the point of being so freaking irritating. So the mechanic could make a part man part machine to kill people but he couldn't fix a light bulb so it would stop flickering? And the Machine Man made these robot like sounds whenever he would move.Well Machine Man may be too grand a term....he looked more like some doofus in a football helmet with lights on it and he also had what looked like shoulder pads on too! There were a couple of topless chicks but they weren't enough to save this waste of time. This is just another home made looking piece of crap movie from Lionsgate.Shot on video at night in some junkyard......please someone take the cameras away from these little snot noses who all think they can make a horror movie.

another bad DTV from Lion's Gate
slasher92116 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This one at least had some aspirations of grandeur behind it, but it still goes down as another bad shot-on-video horror film that Lion's Gate seems to be releasing too many of nowadays.

A collector of serial killer memorabilia (the always memorable David Hayes) accidentely runs over a huge guy (Jose Rosete) and takes him home and turns him into a serial killer. If you're willing to suspend your disbelief for this starting point, you are obviously the target audience. The biggest problem I had with this is that this starting point (from intro to big guy being outfitted w/ his costume) takes all of ten minutes of film, leaving us with an hour and twenty minutes of tedious film left. If they would have developed MotorMan Dan, established who he is and how he can afford all this serial killer memorabilia when he lives in a junkyard and why he would want a serial killer of his own it could have been cool, instead they plow through this and then the film becomes yet another plodding, boring movie.

One of my biggest beefs w/ the movie were the kills. You would think that if Motorman Dan went through the trouble of creating a killer and establishing an arena for it to kill in, there would be plenty of grue to be had, right? Wrong. Instead the film consists of this hulking guy with a ridiculous costume creeping up behind people and stabbing them in the back. No decaps or disembowelment's or slit throats, just lots and lots of backstabbing. Yawn.

The film-making itself is pretty good for the most part. The lighting (and the lack thereof) is very effective and the use of shadows works well in the environment. Motorman Dan's set is very impressive and the film makes good use of it. There are some cool camera tricks and editing pieces but there are also some pointless fade outs and aggravating editing tricks where the light is supposed to be flickering.

Unfortunately the director's eye and the production value are overcome with a slow moving and formulaic script and some bad acting from everyone except the main characters.

Rep This-It's a Hit.
DodgerFamily13 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Nothing wrong with repping and standing behind a movie you like. I don't watch horror movies much but this one isn't just a straight up horror movie. The people in it were the best thing. The main dude who hits the other guy is straight cool. He's actually funny in this movie. Not funny as in bad cheap comedy but as in scary crazy funny. Then you got the other guy who doesn't say anything but he'll kill you just like that then go sleep. The guy is eating beans watching some crazy stuff on TV thinking it's all good to go out and kill people for the hell of it. And the big crazy dude gets off on it. The crazy thing about it is I bet there is people out there like this. Right now there is a guy just like this in the middle of no where waiting to do something nuts like this guy in the movie. Everybody better watch out and make sure your tank is full.

Rep this with me.

Poor Excuse For a Film
franktjmackie20014 October 2006
I wonder if everyone saw the same film I watched... then I noticed that a better part of the good reviews for this film were posted prior to it's release date... so I guess the film makers have a lot of friends and family writing reviews for them. Also, I don't understand this excuse that most of the reviewers use stating "... considering the budget" or " great considering how low the budget". Since when do we excuse a film's poor production value on the money they had or didn't have? Maybe we need a new genre of films... Films shot on a shoestring budget that look like crap, but we excuse all that. Let me begin by saying that the box cover and the copy treatment are very misleading. This is some strange retelling of the Frankenstein story... only none of the characters are defined... none have the motivation or back story to even justify why they are doing what they do. Never did we get that Motorman Dan tinkered in reconstructive surgery... When he hits a motorist on the highway (on purpose or by accident? Who knows) he uses the victim to create his killing machine, but when did he hatch this plan... on the road? Days before? Weeks? How would a member of the audience know that his plan was to create this monster since there was no foreshadowing on this character... and since we never actually see him create the monster... I guess we have to just assume a lot. These are all the traits of a bad screenplay and this one is no exception with every cliché and bad horror movie moment telegraphed 500 feet ahead. For the most part the film is dark and murky and I guess this is the part we should forgive since they had no money for lights and the music was so annoying that at no point I had to turn the volume down as to not listen to it. The acting is OK, but at times the main character seemed to drift in and out of his part. The supporting cast is just plan bad and the monster, with his welding cap and pen lights just wanders around doing others bidding, so we are left to not care a thing for him. NOTE: In all great stories that involve a victim that is forced into bad situation... we should feel sorry for that person (Frankenstien's Monster, Hunchback, The Wolfman, etc).

Krankenstein
wrlang20 August 2006
Machined looked interesting, but was a conglomeration of plots ultimately more like a Frankenstein film. The acting was between bad and OK. The camera work was spotty at best with some good shots, but mostly bad and mostly b/w looking because of low light levels. Screenplay wasn't very believable and the dialog struggled tremendously. It was a horror film that just wasn't very horrifying, more sickening. A garage mechanic in a remote desert service station creates a man/machine hybrid that does his murderous bidding. The mechanic doesn't get many customers, but they all stop by at the worst possible moment for both the mechanic and the viewer.

Wow can u say low budget crap?
wes3213 September 2006
Wow...This movie is quite possibly the worst horror movie I've seen. Actors are horrible..the music??? a hole 2 songs that play over and over again if you have heard of a movie killing a song.. this movie has killed the song.. buried it back up and killed it again. The sound Fx..the screeching every 2 seconds quite annoying. In closing Id say if you wanna see a low budget piece of crap.. Go and watch this because it will satisfy you completely. It has all the elements in movies that you shouldn't do if you're into film-making. I can't believe that a studio actually made this and is selling and renting it in blockbuster. It really opens the word to filmmakers and shows that crap can be taken a long way.

Why does everyone love this movie?
SullW73030 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I would consider myself to be a fan of all types of movies, I've see just about every movie considered to be a decent one by highly regarded critics, and it completely baffles me that people enjoyed this movie. It shames me to say that i'm writing this comment without having fully watched the movie, but i honestly couldn't even finish it it was so bad, and believe me I've watched my fair share of bad movies. The fact is that this is just a cheap release by wannabe film-makers. I understand that they were dealing with little or no budget but the idea of someone rebuilding a human who in turn becomes a killer isn't even close to being original e.g. Frankenstein. They could've at least tried to make an original crappy independent film. 0 out of 10 from me and probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

A collection like no other.
michaelRokeefe21 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
My condolences to director and writer Craig McMahon, I see MACHINED as a big white crusty pile of dog vomit. A gruesome sadistic mechanic, Motorman Dan(David C. Hayes), is a collector that takes his "collecting" to the extreme. Piece by piece he builds his own serial killer. In the middle of nowhere, customers stop at Motorman Dan's garage for auto repair. They become part of his sick project...he has manufactured a man into a half machine, half man that carries out serial killings that aids Dan's sexual gratification. This is also guaranteeing that Motorman Dan doesn't have repeat customers.

Credited cast includes: Jose Rosete, Eleni Krimitsos, Patti Tindall and Matt Robinson. Rated R for sadistic violence, nudity and graphic sexual content.

(2005) Machined HORROR

Music, produced, written and directed by Craig McMahon directing a super duper low budgeter via cam corder style showing an overweight extremely hairy, heavy set guy, Dan (David C. Hayes) buying a knife which supposed to belong to some serial killer stolen from a police station. And then while Dan is driving along an isolated highway, he accidentally hits someone, his name is Ryan (Jose Rosete) knocking this fellow out. Then the next scene shows this new guy, that Dan had hit was being transformed into a serial killer somewhat electronically whomever enters his machine shop asking for help to fix his/her vehicle. At the same time the Ryan's sister, Angela (Pam Tiddall) goes out and tries to find and locate him since the police are inconsistent and careless, suspecting that his brother might still be alive and close to the area. Bomb.

If Z-movies are your thing, you might like this
TdSmth528 May 2012
Here's the thing, why do all horror movies have to take place at night? Would anyone protest if someone made a horror movie taking place during the day? Second, if you have next to no budget and no decent equipment, why would you go and film a movie at night, knowing full well that is going to look like garbage?

In Machined, a big mechanic dude is obsessed with all things gruesome. He pays a ton of money for some knife used in a killing. One day some guy drives on a desert road and his car breaks down. Motorman Dan literally runs into and over him. Then he takes the injured guy to his shop and does something to him. We don't know what, but it's painful and it involves putting a mask on the guy. We see this from the victim's POV.

Then a bunch of kids driving nearby at night have their car break down, they make it to the creepy shop. Dan offers to help but it will take a while. The kids start frolicking around when a creature appears and starts killing them. The creature is Dan's creation and he does look strange. He has a camera on this head and lights, so that Dan can see all the gory details on a tiny TV.

Eventually, the sister of the first victim starts looking for him and finds the shop. And there's an interesting twist near the end.

I'll give Machined credit for an idea, granted, the Frankensteinian creature isn't a new idea, but it's more than 99% of horror movies about dark-haired teenagers running at night in hallways from some lame killer. But you need more to make a movie aside from an idea and enthusiasm- you need resources, to at least be able to afford a decent camera and a flashlight. If you can't afford that, you have to be smart about using the little that you have. Machined isn't- it looks terrible and is painfully slow because it doesn't have anything to tell aside from the creature killing a few teens. Couldn't they have gotten at least some more teens to volunteer? A Z-budget movie through and through that probably should not have gotten distribution.

Interesting
glass-of-blood28 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen some pictures made on video but were lit for motion picture. You would be amazed how much a difference that makes. This picture wasn't lit for "motion" picture and with so much darkness you can only wonder how much better this could have looked. Does this picture look bad? I wouldn't say that. This picture has the creepy element going on and that's what makes this picture go. I only bring up the lighting because I've never seen so much put into lighting but on an independent level. I don't know if it's a bad thing or a good thing but it did work for this picture. I guess I'm interested if it would work in any other type of independent film. I liked how it worked out for this picture. The three main characters did a good job. I think though that in a picture like this you need a few more kills. If you're going to have a maniac being controlled by another maniac, go all out and kill everyone. Watch it if you're a independent picture lover.

See this to see David Hayes (motormandan)
Edith6927 August 2006
This film is hardly a masterpiece but its still very effective with some really creepy atmosphere ala WOLF CREEK. Gore is quite low but there are some good kills . Big reason to watch it ,is to see the hilarious David Hayes playing the delightfully perverse Motor Man Dan. Other than Hayes, the acting is pretty bad.. ESPECIALLY the lead actress, yikes and that blind lady ..GOOD HEAVANS!! The director does have a lot of talent though and created an insane set in a some desert junkyard. He just needs more to work with. For a first time indie film on a shoe-string budget MACHINED does deliver as much as it possibly can . All I can say is more gore next time and nudity..just not Motorman Dan naked!

There's really no excuse for crap like this...
MrGKB27 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
...beyond the fact that it kept a number of people occupied and off the streets, where they might otherwise do harm to others or themselves. It's sole redeeming feature is that it allowed a number of unknown actors to get some work; I can only hope they were paid at least a living wage, because beyond that their efforts are going to come to nothing. Only Patti Tindell, the ostensible heroine, appears to have any real acting chops, but a quick look at her IMDb listing reveals a career that isn't really going anywhere, so being in this piece of dreck didn't do her a whole lot of good except to make her cast-able in other pieces of dreck. The only other "actor" who registers is the laughable antagonist, "Motorman Dan," played by an immense whale of a man whose physicality is the only thing he has going for him. Trust no one who praises this film (I shudder to even use that term), and trust no one who claims to have actually enjoyed it. This is fast-forward fodder from the get-go, and the higher the speed the better. That my local library made the mistake of stocking this garbage makes me wonder who's making the purchasing decisions, and why they're so bad at it. You've been warned.

run for your life
cold-nightFOG13 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
You can't run or hide from this guy. Once you're trapped in that place it's over for you. That's what I kept saying every time someone would go about their business in this place. Watch out for the cameras because not only is someone watching you but there is a big guy with no sense of anything walking around ready to plunge who knows what into your body and take you out just like that. You can see how the little things really make movies like this look so good. The light fog in the shots, the camera work, just enough blood and gore, and really good acting. The director must have a list of the good horror movies and a even longer list of the bad horror movies and he did his homework. If you make a cheesy crappy film, you're going to get called on it every time. I can imagine how he feels to get called on doing a great job.

Nice work.

It's alright.
krachtm29 January 2011
I guess whether you like this movie or not depends on how tired you are of the slasher formula. Thankfully, this one doesn't have annoying teenagers in it. There's some more story and background than you might be used to getting, though it doesn't bog down the movie or anything like that. If anything, the slasher action kind of slows it down to a crawl, as the scenes get longer and longer and longer... until you're thinking to yourself, "How many victims does this guy *need*? Let's just get to the climax already!" Or maybe not. I did, at least.

There are a few fresh aspects to this movie, which might be what saves it for you. The director apparently was aware of how saturated the horror marketplace is right now, so I applaud anyone who tries to show any creativity whatsoever, even if it's just putting a football helmet and shoulderpads on a guy and calling him a cyborg. That's another thing that might bother you: this movie has really, really low budget effects. In fact, it's kind of distracting how low budget they are, but I guess I can't criticize the director for that. He did all he could with the money he had, and I guess the result is watchable. No, that's not much of an endorsement, but it's a lot better than I can say about most of today's low budget slasher movies. I recommend this movie if you're looking for a slasher that doesn't descend into "torture porn", doesn't have a bunch of horny teenagers that are too stupid to live, and has very little in the way of over-the-top screaming and shrieking. This movie will definitely *not* give you a headache, unless you're expecting good sets and sfx.

good choice compared to.....
KathySideArm-524 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I was thinking the same same...it being a Lions Gate film why is it on video? But of course it isn't on the big screen. But it being on video didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Once It settled in and I was able to realize that I rented a low budget horror film and that's what I was getting. But I have to be honest, it isn't a horror film to me. I mean, I wasn't scared. Maybe a little creeped out knowing the blind woman was going to get it and that made me feel horrible. Seeing that guys face all bloody after being hit by the car made me flinch a little but the rest of it kept my interest by wanting to know if the sister was going to find him in time and what kind of danger she was really in. Now if it were me I would have had the motor Dan guy kill the sister in front of the brother and that's what makes him turn on the motor Dan guy. And that's how it should have ended. If anything lets see Dan and the killer go at it a little. It was missing that. But this low budget movie kept my interest all the way through and ended up being something other and more then a stupid remake or a sequel or a cartoon or TV show turned into a movie. I like bigger budget films more but I can live with this one. It did it for me.

Dark, edgy and bleeds atmosphere!
killerreviewscom9 September 2006
It was probably a year ago when I first heard about Craig McMahon's MACHINED, and I gotta tell you - I was instantly intrigued. There's just something about a creature being part-man and part-machine that runs around slaughtering people. That and plus the poster art looked damn cool. So eventually I found a good time for viewing it, in the dark, no distractions and I was pretty impressed. There are not many films like MACHINED, I can promise you that! This tale is about a big, fat, hairy guy who goes by the name of 'Motorman Dan', who has a few personal problems. For one: he likes to jerk off while reading about serial killers; two: he dreams of having a "pet" serial killer of his own, and three: well, he's fat… So eventually, Dan accidentally runs over a young man named Ryan, (Jose Rosete), who was trying to flag him down for a ride at the time. Oops…Dan's bad. Oh, well, it's all good; more body parts for his dream "killing machine". After Dan adds the final touches to his creation, he lets it loose all over town, (that being his garage). One problem… Ryan has a few friends, who along with his sister Angela are determined to find out what happened to the unlucky young fellow.

MACHINED succeeds in many ways, atmosphere being one of them. Honestly, they nailed it so well (pun intended) I felt like I was right there in the grungy garage of horrors with the robotic killing machine, fat Dan himself and of course, his hairy back. I think director Craig McMahon accomplishes this by keeping the film very dark, both in tone and the impressive camera work. I don't think there's one shot even hinting at sunlight. It also helps that there are many first perspective shots in the film.

The sound design is second on the list of well-used elements. The effects were awesome, most of them coming from the killing machine itself. It's very interesting how McMahon combines the score with the sound effects. At times when the machine is walking around you can hear the nuts and bolts squeaking, but eventually those sounds become part of the score, which is insanely cool.

Now for the first negative aspect: the acting. For the most part the cast does a descent job, but there were definitely a few spotty moments. Our lead actor, Patti Tindall, who plays Angela, does a descent job…but I would have liked her to have been a little more realistic with her reactions. I mean, here she is fighting her brother who is now a robotic killing machine, and she acts as if she deals with this crap everyday. Maybe downplaying her emotions was a directorial choice, but it didn't work for me. My favorite cast member overall was David C. Hayes, who plays 'Motorman Dan'. He was rather brave with his choices and definitely comes across as being the most charismatic of the bunch. Now if he would just take a lawn mower to his back, we'd be all set. He'd probably make more money selling his back hair then he got for acting in the film. There's also one pretty bad apple in the cast, but I won't name names. See if you can guess who it is… The second element that didn't rock my boat was the characters. I'm not sure if it was because of weak performances (at times), the way they were written or the lack of realism that shooting with digital video sometimes displays, but I wasn't emotionally invested in them. During the finale, when Angela is going head-to-head with what's left of her brother, I could have cared less who won. I'm guessing that's not a good thing.

Overall, I found MACHINED to be problematic at times, but it's definitely interesting and I'm damn glad I experienced it. Notice how I said "experienced it?" I say that because it's such an odd and unique film. I would recommend you check it out, but just don't go in expecting greatness. Keep in mind that it's pretty much a better-than-average independent film and you'll be in for a solid ninety minutes.

Stand Up Ovation
secretsickness12 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
What happens on a lonely desert street, stays on a lonely desert street. That is, according to Motor Man Dan. He could have gotten you the proper medical attention, but nahhhhhh. He'll take you home instead and turn you into his own personal monster. What a movie! If you got car trouble, walk! Whatever you do don't end up at Dan's so you can be the next person to die. If you stick around he'll brain wash you and make you think killing people is OK. All the way around this movie entertained the heck out of me. I saw it twice back to back and am going to own it at some point. It belongs on the shelf with the others. I'm going to be the Machined guy for Halloween. And they will be remaking this one in 15 years.

worth it
all_night_showtime13 August 2006
All of us have rented movies with cool covers and they end up being a hunk of junk. I was convinced this one would be the same. I know it's video but it's actually a good looking quality video. I hate those cam-corder looking movies as much as the next person but one didn't look bad at all. People who make movies these days make a big deal on what they're shooting on and what camera they're using. If your movie sucks it doesn't matter how good it looks pal. So the quality got my attention on that end. On the other end it was actually interesting. I love suspense build up. That's where a director shows what he or she is made of. A director also needs the people around him to see the vision. The vision for machined was there out in the open and you can tell everyone was on board. It's when things come together we get to see and separate the men from the boys with independent movies. So I was wrong, like the cover or not, you're paying to watch the actual movie. I liked it and I'll end up watching it again.

Warning: Spoilers
come on now! how you going not show his face? i mean the little parts that were shown of the dudes face being all messed up was real cool. and when he was drilling the girl i seen his face in the background all bloody under the other mask. i kept thinking i was going to see what his face looked like at some point. at the end would have been a good time after his sister stabbed him or even when she was in the bathtub and he gave her beans. he should have shown her his face then. but thats pretty much the only thing i didn't like about it. it was creepy and well acted. the big guy with glasses made it creepy. and i liked hearing the hurt guy talk repeating everything the fat guy was talking about. he should have did that a little more. the cop getting killed from the old blind lady was a cool middle twist that made the situation even more messed up. and i liked that once they got the cops gun they didn't use it. straight killers don't kill with guns. he was watching all that crazy stuff on the TV and thats what made him kill the way he did. someone else said that the killings were too simple and the same. thats crap one killing was with the knife through the neck, then the knife between that girls chest, then those things he stabbed the cop with, then the knife through the back, then the drill. and he chased his sister around with a bigger knife. i don't think the story was about showing blood and making it look stupid ,just showing how crazy the situation was. 8 out of 10.

standing out I see............
DOZENSandDOZENS16 August 2006
I'm going to have to put out there what most people do not understand. If you're used to the big motion pictures that Hollywood puts out, then you have to have a whole new outlook on independent low budget films. I really liked what the makers of "Machined" did. If you don't have it, then you can't do it. I'm not going to call out names but I've seen too many low budget horror films that try way too hard to make the budget and production look like more than it is. And there is nothing wrong with trying to do that but there is a very fine line when you attempt it. The location for this movie was as good as it gets. The cast was as good as it gets for me as far as me not knowing who any of them were. That real thin line is always crossed when it comes to what you can and can't do with these low budget horror films. I thought "Machined" was going to come close to crossing that line a few times and it never did so I had to come and share my thoughts. Good job on that. I'll take this one over all the other low budget crap out there and even some of the big budget crap too.

They did what they had to do and it showed. Go "Machined"!

Warning: Spoilers
I broke down in the desert once, years ago.

I'm glad I hadn't seen this movie, then. I would rather die then go through what Ryan had to go through. And I wouldn't want to be any where near Motor Man Dan. The guy doesn't have the guts to kill people himself so he makes this poor guy do it for him? He's one sick wacko. And he watches it live on TV and pleasures himself, that's pretty darn sick.

I checked out the website for this movie and I have to tell ya, they have much better cover art for Machined. They actually have three other posters/cover art for the movie. It's actually a really cool website. They got tons of press as well.

The best horror movies are the ones that can actually happen. I don't do Vampire, Zombie, Wolf, or Aliens. Anyone can do that and there is too many crappy genre movies being made out there. I rent at least 4 movies a week and I wish all of them could be this good.

Go rent it.

Pass The Beans

Warning: Spoilers
After viewing this film a couple of times and making a weekend out of it, I realized there was more to it after noticing the amount of credits at the end. Wow, this tells me no big sets, no big budget, and nothing more except for blood, sweat, and tears. You look around and take notice of the budget amounts on other films and you wonder, WHERE THE HELL DID THE MONEY GO? But you don't get that feeling with "MACHINED" and I'll tell you why. The writer/director/producer had to do everything himself. I can just see the actors now working as crew members and helping out. And that's true independent spirit. The performances reminded me of pretty much any other independent film I've seen in recent memory. When you have hungry actors with a director who knows what he's going to do even if he doesn't have the money in the bank to do it. These people aren't just going through the motions and saying their lines, and the director isn't just splattering blood on the wall with an occasional topless blonde running around. The characters in "MACHINED" were brought to life and they pulled me in. The world MOTOR MAN DAN lived in was one of sickness, greed, and something else that can't even be explained. He creates a man that has no choice but to be taken advantage of and turned loose to kill for thrills. Don't watch it if you want another "SAW" or even "THE DEVILS REJECTS" just expect a very well made independent film that sin't just a "HORROR" film but a movie almost anyone can be entertained with. It's a good story and the makers deserve a little appreciation.

pretty scary

Warning: Spoilers
It's not as good as Saw part 1 or 2 but it's better then other straight to video movies. I'm a girl and I saw it with other girls. But it didn't have a bunch of stupid girls running around naked. It had a sex scene where one chick showed her stuff but that scene came out real good. The bloody scenes were pretty gross though. When he chased her into the bus was one of the better scenes. Me and my friends have seen a bunch of stupid horror movies that should be scary but they never are. But this one was. I hate it when you know what's going to happen next. I thought the girl was going to die and I thought for sure her husband was going to die too. Don't watch this if all you want is boobs. But watch it if you like scary movies that are low budget.
