A Great, Clever Short from Up-and-Coming Mark Cartier: A-
jgangi27 March 2005
If you like fun short films, this is a *must* see. Up-and-coming Mark Cartier displays his unique filming style, while keeping the viewer on the edge of his seat with great shots, dialogue, and visual texture. You might never look at a squash the same! The movie does move slowly at parts. Good thing there's composer Chris Moscatiello. Chris Moscatiello's music is a sugar-covered treat to the tympani membranes of listeners, providing the film with a subtle nuance to make the story connect in a dramatic way. Mr. Moscatiello seems to be an on-the-rise man in Hollywood: he delivers class-A quality material, his music is timed perfectly, and he is able to match the mood of the shot in an unsurpassable way. Mr. Moscatiello, wherever you are in the world: kudos to another job well done! Mr. Carier is wise in his style, and we're all looking forward to his next short film: Good Cop, Bad Cop.

A-: Original, Clever, Smart. Highly recommended.
