Necessarily padding out the running time is a sex scene at Evan Stone's bar involving him and Haley Paige - Sunset works at the bar, integrating the scene into her story. Among Zen's diversions is staging sexual "tableaux vivants" at his home, an excuse for Lisa Marie and Trent Tesoro to unfreeze from their statue-like poses and hump for our delectation.
There are effectively creepy moments when Sunset wakes up at sunrise and finds Zen sitting in a chair near her bed quietly observing her. The strangeness of the tale keeps one's interest throughout, leading to a surprise final twist that makes perfect sense but is still unusual enough to keep one guessing. Jennifer Luv in a key supporting role adds to this final mystery.
If folks widened their horizons a bit, this would be a perfect film for mainstream filmmakers to rip off successfully -after all nowadays nearly all story-line porn is presented as rip-off parodies of mainstream material. But as it stands it is a little gem tucked away for adventurous Adult Entertainment fans to discover.
