Unscarred: The Life of Nick Mondo
jeremy-mollinger28 January 2005
This documentary is an absolute marvel. Following the life of Sick Nick Mondo (Matt Burns) from his teenage years to beyond his eventual retirement while revealing details about the underground indie wrestling world. An absolute must see for any fan of wrestling, boxing, or UFC; also a stunning eye opener for those who are unfamiliar with the sport or any other sport in its genre. I've had the opportunity of going to school with Matt, and it was quite a shock for me to see this documentary. He is one of the calmest, composed, and laid back people you'd ever meet, and you would NEVER guess that he's been through so much just by talking to him. This documentary is an impressive piece of personal work to say the least, especially considering that Matt is only in his mid twenties, and this is one his first full finished pieces of work. It's my guess that the movie world has not heard the last of Matt Burns, and that within the next decade his recognition and praise will rise to stardom.
