This romantic comedy has a twist
speakmeme11 July 2007
I just finished viewing the film Breaking & Entering. The movie was very entertaining. The cast was fresh and the vibe was nice. Not like your usual romantic comedy... where you can guess the ending in the first scene of the film.

The soundtrack had some great beats. I liked the fact that they used all types of music. It kept things moving and unpredictable.

I'm an independent film lover and I can't wait to see more from VSM Productions. It's apparent that it was shot in high definition and the editing was nicely done.

I plan to buy a few more copies for some of my friends!

At last, a romantic comedy with wit and style!

With all the formula romantic comedies churning out of the studio system, it's a joy to discover a small film that recognizes the value of cleverness, instead of merely cliché.

Although a low budget feature, the production values of Breaking & Entering are similar to most TV movies, while the dialog and storyline are refreshingly unique. The sultry attraction and battle of wits between the lead characters hearkens back to the glory days of Hollywood's screwball romantic comedies, offering the viewer a sense of fast-paced fun and the promise of love unfrustrated, no matter how many devilish plot twists the characters use to trip each other up.

The mostly unknown cast attacks the script with charm to spare. The con games sprinkled throughout generated laughs from the film festival audience where I saw it screened. The DVD added even more fun, with an improved soundtrack and a few bonus features. Definitely worth checking out.

Loved the movie

My whole family enjoyed the movie. The film had scenery of Louisville Kentucky that was an asset to the city.Since I live in Kentucky I especially loved the scenery. One of my favorite scene as the wino in the park and the scene with the drunk man in the heart undershorts. This is a family film and I would recommend it for ages 10 up. The casting was well done and we need to see these actors more.I have watched the movie twice and got a kick out of it each time. There need to be more movies like this made.Vin Morrele has real talent as a writer and we will be seeing more of his work I hope soon. You could not rooting for the main character even if he was a thief and con-man.The sound tract was exceptional. This movie in my opinion deserves a rating of 9.
