one of the best scripts ever

Warning: Spoilers
If you haven't seen this, let me tell you where this started at: this began in a college film class, and it shows. The movie was made on a budget of less then 10,000$, and it's pretty noticeable. However, this is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. The script is good, the characterization is awesome, and while certain things need improvement (like fight choreography, which seemed to have been prepared over a caffeine fueled weekend) (and it was), given what the lads were working with, this movie was nothing less than inspired. If you like comedy, check this movie out. Just don't walk into it expecting to see a Hollywood movie.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the "Dead Gentlemen" group, these guys are one of the factors that inspired me into writing and lighting has struck twice again for these guys.

What I like about this sequel is that it actually builds more on the Demon Hunter mythology where it feels more than just a parody, I really feel that there can be more story if this movie franchise grew more. And also I like how there was a bit of depth to a few of the characters, mostly Gabrel, which I thought was funny and kinda sad, let alone in a way this film was kinda his movie. I like some of the new characters both heroes and villains whom are colorful mostly Sofia whom is a vampire that is one the is both sugar and spice, even like the interplay and romance with Chris and her which I thought was decent not great but beats the heck out of a lot of the crappy romance comedies I've seen. And of course Dhramathrax is a lot of fun as usual even thought he's only in it for the final half of the film.

I really love the dialog, these guys really know how to do both verbal and physical humor with it. The music is good really loved that song Dave played on the piano and sang. The action is decent and there is a bit more of it in this sequel, I could see that the chirography has slightly improved though still unsmooth in some places but it's an amateur film what can you expect. Like the costumes on some of them though one I didn't like I'll get to that latter. Makeup work on the demons and monsters was good. The acting as usual is good and decent for some.

But despite the films pluses, this sequel has a few things that really hold it back for me from surpassing the original. I'll state the minor complaints first.

I felt the film was a bit long which caused the pace to lag a little, some minutes could of been cut. Some jokes I thought were repetitive like for example Chris trying to fight, it was funny a couple of times but after many more it got old.

The actress that play Angel I thought was terrible, I know that this is amateur film making and the acting is good/decent but this actress delivery was just wooden. I like the character don't get me wrong it's just the actress was wrong for the role they needed a better actress for the role. And I didn't like the costume Angel had it looked like a figure skater outfit which I felt looked out of place with the rest of the film.

Finally my one major complaint there was no promised third sequel despite ending on a cliffhanger (let alone a sad note), I keep hearing that they have it canned but unfortunately there hasn't been any further news. Also it's been years now since they made this film, which means the cast is older so it might already be too late. But I would still love for them make that sequel or at least a reboot to the franchise, but that's just wishful thinking I like to be proved wrong. It's really too bad it didn't happen because this had potential to have more.

Overall it's a good if slightly flawed sequel. So go Camping with them if you dare.
