Overlooked characters from Star Trek get their due...
dizozza22 August 2006
The Enterprise is a big spaceship (Was it the size of a metropolis?) and so much of the legacy (ALL?) consists of the captain's log. What of the individuals among the multitudes downstairs? For those who live by the world according to Gene Rodenberry, the film's title, Red Shirts, may cause resonance. Being less corporate and more family oriented, at least in terms of '60's television, I was more Lost IN Space, but I understand now what it means for a crew member to be wearing a Red Shirt in a Star Trek episode...

Dry humor, realistically acted, and the tundra landscape is not to be missed.

Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to say some nice words for this Redshirt Blues. It is not only impeccably produced, shoot, acted, cast, written and edited. And this project is really funny. I have been very proud to show this comedy parody video to as many of my scifi friends as possible. Redshirt Blues is greatly appreciated for it to do a great classy & fun project without lowering their high ethics into today's Internet rampant sad digital piracy of Trek protected media. It was a great idea for Redshirt Blues to be highlighted in the George Lucas yearly amateur fan video competition. That is where I got a chance to view it. This film subject has even more room for parody or comedic for any new film projects by new film makers.
