Scattered in my VHS tapes, i have 8/22 (36%) episodes of that 5th season . For me, that was the start of something else as Summer was not here anymore. Bleeth is a good girl but a bit plain while this Logan is just a disloyal show-off totally irritating: In the episodes I taped, those 2 characters have not the spotlight so the magic of this show still works a bit: 1) the Californian outdoor: i don't know any other show that offers such real relaxing locations: sun, beach, pier, countryside .. 2) humanist values: the dumb would see only babes while i see characters helping people: in a family life, in the job, in their relationship, in their grief... Again, i don't know much other shows that are so compassionate and that are courageous to deal with such issues as homeless, cancer, AIDS, ... This year, i notice the production converts into recycling: the dangerous cave (05.08 & 06.06), the sticking guest (episode 05.09). As my habit is to pick my favorite episode to post my review, i choose Silent Night because it's a moving blend of holidays, social issue and comedy...
